Overview
Departing from Cap Creus and arriving in Donostia (San Sebastián), the PIRINEUS EXPEDITION crosses the entire magnificent Pyrenees mountain range along incredible off-road tracks and secondary roads of unique beauty.
Through the Spanish regions of Catalonia, Aragon, Navarra, the Basque Country and also Andorra, this fantastic adventure covers some of the most emblematic places on this natural border that separates the Iberian peninsula from the rest of the European continent. We will climb the Pic Negre, cross the Valle de Arán, cross the Cañón de Añisclo and visit the fantastic cities of Pamplona and Donostia (San Sebastián).
This concept of “4×4 expedition” is related to the cultural, heritage and natural discovery of the Pyrenees mountain range. It is characterized by presenting a mixed route of rural roads and off-road paths/trails that cross mountains, forests, rivers and valleys in regions of exceptional beauty, as well as castles, sanctuaries and historic villages lost in time.
Participation is open to 4×4 vehicles and people of all ages can take part in the challenge. Participants do not need to have technical knowledge of driving or off-road navigation and their vehicle, in order to be able to participate, does not require any special preparation. Navigation will be carried out using GPS with a track provided by the organization and the degree of difficulty for this expedition is considered medium/low.
